Sooooo...It looks like Bryan and I will be going to Europe in little under a month because of Bryan's job!! We will be flying into Barcelona and spending a couple of days there where he is going to be at a conference but doesn't really have to "be there", going to Milan, Italy (where he will work for a couple of days) then we are FREE to travel! :-)

I know that some of you have been to Europe and was wondering what you would recommend seeing (or not wasting our time on). We are wanting to travel to probably Rome, Paris, and fly out of London. Any comments, suggestions, or whatever are welcome. Even where to stay, how to get there, whatever. Bryan lived in Germany for a year and has traveled around Europe some but not a whole lot in where we are going.

Thanks folks!! :-D

You can just email me too at shell024@u.washington.edu if you have something long...

Just north of Paris is the city of Caen. It has the greatest WWII museum that I've ever seen. It's amazing. It is also not very far from Bayeux, which is from where the buses to Omaha Beach and the Cemétaire Americain leave (If I remember right). Slighty to the West is St. Malo, which is one of my favorite places in Europe: it's walled in city is gorgeous and the ramparts that surround the city have absolutely amazing views across the water.

Also, if you can hit Switzerland, specifically Gimmelwald, you'll be doing yourself a relaxing favor. Or the Cinque Terre (Stay in Manarola, Vernazza or Corniglia, not Riomaggiore or Montorosso) in the Italian Riviera. Both places are small, rich with local culture, and offer spectactular hikes-if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm jealous. I wanna go too. :)
